Despite our best efforts, it is difficult to put substance ahead of form, good before evil, and right above wrong. In the over-stimulating environment of the 21st century, we often don't have time to look past first impressions, and when we do, we rarely bother. As a result, we find ourselves at the mercy of those with the ability to appeal to our most primal emotions, dazzling us with their bravado and style, and hoping that hidden beneath this exterior lurks something we could actually respect.
