How often do we praise the Lord “with a prayer of praise and thanksgiving”? (D&C 136:28.) …Some prayers ought to be prayers of sheer adoration. Adoration, absent of any petition, even occasionally would be a better mix than prayers that are perpetual petitions and relentless requests, minus adoration and appreciation.
