all the children of God

The revealed doctrine of the restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches that all the children of God—with exceptions too limited to consider here—will ultimately inherit one of three kingdoms of glory, even the least of which “surpasses all understanding.” D&C 76:89 After a period in which the disobedient suffer for their sins, which suffering prepares them for what is to follow, all will be resurrected and proceed to the Final Judgment of the Lord Jesus Christ. There, our loving Savior, who, we are taught, “glorifies the Father, and saves all the works of his hands,” D&C 76:43 will send all the children of God to one of these kingdoms of glory according to the desires manifested through their choices.

there is enough and to spare

Modern revelation advises as to the earth's resources: "there is enough and to spare" (D&C 104:17). Governments and economic systems falter before those assurances. Especially sobering is this divine declaration: "But it is not given that one man should possess that which is above another, wherefore the world lieth in sin" (D&C 49:20).

not a coincidence but a consequence

The Prophet was actively engaged in making the translation of the Bible from June 1830 until July 1833. Examination of the chronological table in the forepart of the Doctrine and Covenants will quickly show that most of the doctrinal revelations were received during this period. I believe this is not a coincidence but a consequence. It was Joseph Smith’s study and translation of the Bible that set the stage for the reception of many revelations on the doctrines of the gospel. There is an inseparable connection between the New Translation of the Bible and many of the revelations that constitute the book of Doctrine and Covenants.
